Martin Zubimendi, the Real Sociedad midfielder, who has 17 caps for the reigning European Champions Spain, is set to undergo medical before completing a £51M move to Arsenal.
Reports suggest that all relevant paper works has been completed and both parties are optimistic for a successful medical in order to close up formalities for a swift deal.
Annoucement will be made by Arsenal once the 26-year old passes the medical. With a £51M release clause, the Spanish midfielder is looking forward to land at the Emirates.
The gunners are not leaving any stone unturned in this summer transfer window with Benjamin Šesko of RB Leipzig and Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting CP both under their radar.
Thomas Party has been pivotal deep in Arsenal’s midfield but adding Zubimendi will provide Arteta with varied options.
Zubimendi proved his potential in the international stage last summer when he came off the bench in Spain’s 2-1 defeat of England in the EURO 2024 final after replacing injured Rodri.
