The Spanish shot-stopper who shares 13 spot kick saves with Nottingham Forest goal keeper Metz Sels, made the most clean sheet in the second season in a row.
David Raya stepped confidently into the spotlight in August when he won the Premier League save of the month in a clash against Aston Villa and then kept nine saves against Manchester City the following month. He was outstanding also in the month of March when he made heroic saves keeping Manchester United at bay, late in their Old Trafford clash.
Raya’s 13 clean sheet also helped Arsenal finished as the Runnners up in the league, enabling automatic qualification for next season Champions League competition. Talking about the Champions League, the Arsenal goalie appeared 13 of their 14 games enroute to the semi final, keeping six clean sheets and saving two penalties, one against Atalanata in their first match and the other against in the second leg of the semifinal clash away to the eventual winner PSG.
