Chelsea completes Liam Delap acquisition. The Blues are delighted to announce the transfer of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town in a deal worth $40.6M that will see him through till 2031.
Delap who is shortlisted for the young player of the years award, netted 12 times the 2024/2025 Premier League season.
The England 21 international began his career at Derby County academy before switching to Manchester City in 2019. He moved to the elite development squad after spending a season with City’s under 18. The 22-year said
”I understand the structure of the club and can see the trajectory; it is on with these players and a great couch. It’s going to be an incredible place for me to develop and I hope to achieve amazing things here and help the club win more trophies”.
Delap appeared 37 times for the Tractor Boys , scoring 12 goals in the process.
