Zubimendi reveals new Real Madrid boss is his idol but open to potential transfer especially strong link to Arsenal.
The Real Sociedad and Spanish attacking Midfielder have been under the radar from the London side and sources indicate that a deal is close to completion pending his medical. Though, Zubimendi insisted that he doesn’t know how the summer transfer window will pan out, Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Liverpool who the 26-year turned down last summer, are all options, not excluding a stay in his present club.
Zubimendi who is presently with the Spanish National team for Nations League duty call, told Radio National that “options are already available, but it looks like it’s going to be a different, long summer and I don’t know how it’s going to end. Thinking about it isn’t my priority. Am here with the National team, which is already quite demanding, and if I have to say something, then I will”.
Just last week, a photo of Zubimendi surfaced online showing him at a beach in San Sebastián, but according to reports from some quarters, he was in the UK for Arsenal medical.
“It’s an example of what surrounds the world “, explained Zubimendi. He further stress that “sometimes I wake up and read things I didn’t know I’d done and that was an example”.
