Fenerbahçe have officially completed the permanent signing of Slovak international Milan Škriniar from Paris Saint-Germain, following a successful loan spell. The experienced defender has penned a long-term contract with the Turkish club, reportedly running until 2029, signaling a major statement of intent from the Istanbul giants.
Škriniar originally arrived at Fenerbahçe in January 2025 on loan after falling down the pecking order at PSG. Under manager José Mourinho, he quickly became a fan favorite, delivering solid defensive performances and even contributing to goals. His leadership, consistency, and tactical awareness made him one of the most reliable players in the second half of the season.
The deal is said to be worth around €12 million, with an additional €3 million in potential bonuses. Mourinho was instrumental in pushing for the transfer, seeing Škriniar as a cornerstone of his vision for a title-winning squad. His presence at the back will be key as Fenerbahçe aim to challenge for the Süper Lig and perform strongly in European competitions.
Škriniar’s arrival marks a shift in Fenerbahçe’s ambitions—not just to compete, but to dominate. With his experience from Serie A and Ligue 1, and now settled in Istanbul, he’s expected to become a central figure in the club’s rebuild under Mourinho’s leadership.
