Paris Saint Germain (PSG) dismantled Inter Milan to clinch their first ever UEFA Champions League title with a commanding 5-0 victory, highest in the history of the Champions league final, edging out AC Milan 4-0 win against Barcelona in 1994. This win is huge for the Paris club who have showed prowess is the last five seasons.
Under the charismatic and focused Luis Enrique, PSG achieved a historic treble having already secured their the French Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France tiltles . Only Pepe Guadiola has won the continental treble with two different clubs making Luis Enrique the second manager to achieve this with Barcelona and now PSG.
This triumph is so important to club after years of pursuit of the most prestigious club title in Europe having lost the 2020 finals and other undesirable set backs. Luis Enrique dedicated the win to his late daughter Xana who passed away in 2019 wearing T-Shirt showing her planting a PSG flag.
