
Leroy Sané to switch to Turkey as Galatasaray reached a deal to sign the winger from Bayern Munich on a three-year contract. The Turkish Super Lig Champions announced Thursday that they have completed a deal to sign the German winger on a free transfer.
Sané will join Galatasaray on July 1 as a free agent as his contract with the Bundesliga Champions expires June. Sané will earn a guaranteed annual salary of €9 million per season with a net proceeds from loyalty bonus of €3 million per season.
After winning two consecutive Premier League titles in 2018 and 2019 respectively with Manchester City, Sané signed for Bayern Munich in a five-year deal. While at Bayern, the skilful winger won the Bundesliga on four occasions, with the most recent season included. He also added to his laurels two DFL Supercups, one UEFA Supercup and a Club World Cup.
On his Instagram page, Sané said “Dear Bayern fans, after five intense years here in Munich, I have decided to start a new chapter in the upcoming season”.
He went further to state that “I am incredibly proud to have worn the jersey of the best and biggest club in Germany for over 200 matches and will always cherish the titles we have won together “.
